How Long Do You Need To Improve Your Smile?

Everyone can get a little impatient when they’re waiting on important results.

There’s no doubt that cosmetic dentistry could change your life. A smile is a token in this world; it communicates gratitude, delight, warmth, approachability, flirtation, and so much more.

Are you unhappy with your smile? If so, we can plan a new, beautiful smile that you’ll love.

With our virtual visits, you’ll get to where you want to be faster and you’ll be equipped with a set of timeline expectations. Those expectations are also outlined here, so you know how long until you can meet your new smile:

Dental Whitening Takes One To Ten days

If you are just looking to brighten some discoloured teeth, Glo Science in-office dental whitening can achieve that, often in less than an hour!

Not everybody achieves their brightest smile during this in-office procedure, in which case they’ll continue the 10-day follow-up treatments at home. A week isn’t long for permanently beaming pearly whites!

Dental Bonding Takes an Hour per Tooth

Dental bonding is a very fast procedure for repairing chipped, underdeveloped, or gapped teeth. Putty-like material is molded on top of your natural tooth. Then it is hardened using a curing light. Finally, it’s polished to a natural sheen.

This takes about an hour per tooth, and is such an efficient way to customize your smile or fix any imperfections making you self-conscious!

Dental Implants Take One Day to Six Months

Dental implants are a great solution to lost teeth. They work by standing in the empty spaces, or replacing damaged teeth, and then get permanently inserted into your gums. The tooth is then topped off with a realistic crown cap; making it seamless with your other teeth. Many can be done in one sitting, up to and including a full set of teeth on the upper and lower arches using the All-on-4 system– when no complications present, such as gum or bone conditions.

In some cases, there is a longer wait in between steps, while gums or bone take their time to heal or get grafted, before they can receive their crown or bridge. It might take up to 6 months to complete the implant procedure.

Veneers and Crowns Take up to Two Weeks

Veneers and crowns are both ceramic restorations that are placed on top of your prepared teeth. Veneers just cover the most visible parts of the tooth, while crowns cover the entire tooth from the gum line up.

In both cases, you will have to have your teeth prepared, impressions made, and restorations crafted at a lab. They will then send us the restorations, which we place on your teeth. The process usually takes about two weeks, but we can sometimes rush the timetable if you need it done sooner.

Clear Aligners Take Three Months to One Year+

Clear aligners are plastic liners which move your teeth by providing structure and pressure towards their designated locations. Timelines are determined by the complexity and severity of the movements. Most standard cases will take up to a year.

For minor modifications, Clear Aligners Express can achieve final results in as little as 3 months– much better than sporting braces for years!

Controlled Arch Braces Take Up to Two Years

Controlled Arch Braces are hardly just cosmetic, as they treat a variety of pain and function distortions, as well as visual jaw and tooth profiles. They not only move the teeth, but also realign your mouth bones, which can take time.

While Controlled Arch braces can move teeth up to 30% faster than traditional braces, it can take up to two years to achieve final results, depending on how complex your facial reshaping might be.

The perfect smile can’t be rushed, but we pride ourselves in efficiency and perfectionism; you’ll leave here glowing in no time!
